University housing information
The Niagara University Housing office would like to remind students of the following regarding the upcoming summer recess:
'Residence halls and apartments officially close at noon on Wednesday, May 18. All students must be vacated by this time or within 24 hours of their last final exam whichever comes first.
'Extended occupancy will be granted up until 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 23, 2011 for graduating seniors and those students approved to participate in senior week and/or commencement. In order to receive extended occupancy, all students must be approved through the housing office. Students approved for extended occupancy will not be permitted to have overnight guests during the extended housing period.
'Students who are not graduating seniors but work on campus: Your name must be submitted to housing (by the office for which you are working) by Friday, April 29. If your name is not sent to us by an office/department on campus, you will not be granted extended occupancy.
'Graduating seniors: You must sign up in the housing office before Friday, April 29, in order to receive extended housing. This sign-up does not guarantee extended housing. Only those seniors verified by their respective colleges as graduating will be permitted to remain.
All students are required to complete checkout procedures before their departure as posted. See your RA or a member of the housing staff if you have any questions about your responsibilities regarding checkout procedures.
Anyone planning to live on campus during any summer school sessions must reserve a room in advance by completing a reservation form in the housing office. Please take items needed for summer home with you, as you will not be permitted into storage areas when you return for summer school.
No student will be allowed access to the residences or storage areas during the summer break for any reason. Please take all needed items with you when you leave. Students violating this policy will be subject to university judicial actions.
