Intramural Flag Football Crowns a 2-Time Champion!
The intramural flag football season was an exciting one to say the least. In what was one of the most competitive leagues in recent years the Office Linebackers came out on top for the second consecutive year. After losing in the championship game in 2009 the Office Linebackers set out to prove they were one of the best flag football teams Niagara University has ever had. After a convincing 34-0 win in the 2010 championship game, the Office Linebackers were the early favorite to take it all for a second time. The 2011 championship game proved to be a much tougher test than the previous year. They would have to take on the 3rd seed Manweisers. The teams traded points during the first half and entered the final half of the season tied at 14. The second half was very much the same as each team scored a touchdown. The difference maker was the failed extra point attempt by the Manweisers that handed the Office Linebackers a victory. Office Linebackers consists of: Jordan Hernandez, Brian Longfield, Curtis Monaco, Jimmy Morelli, John Buckley, John Powers, Keith Kwasigroch, Kevin Latone, Matt Cook, Matthew Carrozzo, Nikko Velazquez, Pat Fetzer, Sean O'Dell and Talon Fee.

After losing their first two games, the eagles have won six straight to bring their record to 6-2. The most recent win came against Slipper Rock where the eagles won 6-5. The hero would be senior Marc Deguilio who scored on a penalty shot in overtime to seal the victory for Niagara.
The Rugby finished the season at 5-1-1. On Saturday, October 23 the team traveled to Ithaca and needed a win for the last remaining playoff spot. NU was victorious with a score of 19 to 14.
